Used Oil Analysis Test Packages
Basic:
Tests for 18 basic elements in oil sample that indicate likely abnormal engine wear.
Tests for glycol, water, and fuel in oil sample, likely indicators of leaks or mechanical failure.
Viscosity:
Tests oil density/thickness which impacts oil pressure.
TBN:
Total Base Number (TBN) indicates how much detergent remains in the engine oil and, as a result, how often an oil change is necessary.
TAN:
Total Acid Number (TAN) indicates the level of acidity in hydraulic fluids and/or gear oils. High acid levels lead to engine corrosion
