IDO UNIVERSAL oils are blended from select high viscosity index (VI) base stocks and low-ash additives with sufficient detergent to ensure excellent engine cleanliness, minimize ring-sticking and liner-scuffing, prevent sludge formation and stuck valve lifters, reduce bearing corrosion and engine rusting. The low-ash feature reduces combustion chamber deposits, and the high VI base stocks together with oxidation inhibitors provide protection against extreme operating temperature oil breakdown as well as lacquer and varnish deposits. Anti-wear additives reduce wear, and antifoam inhibitors provide enough protection for use even in transmissions and hydraulic systems. IDO UNIVERSAL was developed to meet the needs of mixed fleet operators in order to solve the problem of selection and application as well as to reduce inventory. IDO UNIVERSAL exceeds all the automotive gasoline and diesel engine manufacturers’ requirements in the appropriate grades. These oils can be used in all high and medium speed diesel engines in automotive and construction applications and certain diesels in marine service. In appropriate grades, this oil is also suitable for use in transmissions and hydraulic systems. IDO UNIVERSAL 10W and 30 grades have Allison C-4 approval for use in their heavy-duty automatic transmissions. The 5W40 grade is a synthetic blend that provides extra protection for severe duty and has the added benefit of excellent cold start performance while still providing the same protection at high-temperatures as SAE* 30 and 40 grade oils. These lubricants are intended for the lubrication of transmissions, transfer cases, differentials and planetary gear sets found in trucks and construction equipment. They use a synthetic base for excellent stability, long life, extreme temperature operation, improved fuel economy, reduced wear and cleaner components. SYN HDH and SYN IDO are suitable alternatives for use where an Eaton Roadranger™ product is recommended. Mack Trucks Inc approves SYN HDH for use under its GO-J and GO-J Plus programs, and also approves SYN IDO under its TO-A Plus program. The US Military also approves the use of SYN HDH under its Mil-PRF-2105E program. Irving SYN HDH has a complete protection package for the extreme pressure (EP) conditions of differentials, including limited slip, and planetaries working under the heaviest load conditions. It meets the performance requirements of API* GL-5, Rockwell Corporation and Dana Corporation. Irving SYN HDH is available in 2 multi-grades to cover the broadest possible temperature ranges. The use of synthetic base rather than mineral oil reduces friction in extreme conditions, increasing fuel economy by making more horsepower available to the driving wheels. SYN IDO is specially formulated for manual transmissions in class 6, 7 and 8 trucks where straight mineral oils (non-EP) or SAE 50 diesel engine oil is usually recommended. Irving SYN IDO has wider operating temperature range than the alternatives. At low temperatures, this gives easier shifting with less drag and gear wear, and lubricating vital transmission parts quickly. At high temperatures, this oil provides a thicker protective oil film than mineral oil lubricants, reducing friction and wear. Taken together, these advantages mean better fuel economy and transmission life. NOTE: SYN IDO IS NOT APPROVED FOR USE AS ENGINE OIL. When switching from mineral to synthetic lubricants, the two may not be compatible so it is important to drain the unit completely before refilling with the synthetic lubricant. After the change, all seal areas should be checked for the first 20,000 Km.

TRANSflo is a premium product specially formulated for use in automatic transmissions manufactured in 2005 and earlier General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler vehicles requiring Dexron®, II, III (GM) and Mercon® (FORD) fluid. TRANSflo provides excellent low temperature fluidity as well as good viscosity at temperatures in excess of 149°C for bearing and gear lubrication. TRANSflo has excellent corrosion and foam prevention properties. It will not cause excessive swelling or shrinking of seals, nor cause them to become unduly hard or soft. It also has excellent resistance to oxidation, preventing varnish and gum deposits from forming on sensitive transmission parts even after long periods at high temperatures. Irving TRANSflo meets specifications by Allison as a type C-4 fluid, and it can also be used in Ford model C-6 automatic transmissions built on or after 1977, and with all Ford automatic transmissions built on or after 1980. It can also be used in some power steering systems as well as hydro-static and power-shift transmissions where this type of oil is recommended. Irving TRANSflo is also popular as a hydraulic fluid because of its very wide operating temperature range, excellent low temperature fluidity and red colour, which makes tank levels and leaks easy to see. TRANSflo is a true multi-graded fluid and therefore can replace hydraulic oils of standard grades 15, 22, 32 and 46. Irving TRANSFLo can also be used to replace Dexron® and Type A, Suffix A fluids, as well as Toyota (Type T), Mitsubishi and Nissan (NissanMatic D) fluids. Not recommended for Ford transmissions requiring specific "Type F" or Mercon® V or GM Dexron® VI.
