IDO PREMIUM PLUS is a low ash multi-grade engine oil formulated specifically to meet the stringent requirements of 07 EPA compliant engines equipped with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) with or without catalysts and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) technology. This multipurpose crankcase oil not only exceeds API CJ-4 requirements but is backwards compatible making it ideal for large, small and mixed fleets where multiple service categories may be recommended. Formulated for the extreme conditions of the toughest jobs, IDO PREMIUM PLUS SYNTHETIC provides top tier protection no matter what environment your equipment is operating.

The synthetic base stock provides fast flowing protection coupled with an advanced additive package provide top tier protection in extreme cold temperatures. The industry standard grade, 15W-40, is the industry standard for normal operating conditions. Let’s face it. A Canadian winter is less than average.

IDO PREMIUM PLUS SYNTHETIC provides superior soot control caused by the higher operating temperatures of EGR and DPF equipped engines. While these technologies are good for the environment, they are harsh on the conditions of the engine causing high temperature volatility and compromising wear protection. IDO PREMIUM is a blend of carefully selected premium quality base oils and exceptional performance additives. It is a multipurpose crankcase oil, for all high-speed diesel and gasoline engines regardless of operating severity and type of service.

IDO PREMIUM was developed specifically to meet high demands of diesel engines equipped with EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) or engines that use Caterpillar ACERT™ technology.

As these engines are tuned to reduce harmful emissions, they also produce more soot and run at ever-higher temperatures. IDO PREMIUM promotes long engine life through outstanding control of piston crown-land deposits. Excessive deposits cause cylinder liner bore polishing that leads to rapid increase in oil consumption. Excellent sludge control reduces piston ring fill and maintains above average engine cleanliness. Corrosive and extreme pressure wear is reduced to a minimum, extending bearing life. In addition, IDO PREMIUM has a greater ability than regular diesel engine oils to control the negative effects of excessive soot. It helps to reduce the tendency of today’s high soot levels from plugging filters, thickening the oil and causing abrasive wear.

IDO UNIVERSAL oils are blended from select high viscosity index (VI) base stocks and low-ash additives with sufficient detergent to ensure excellent engine cleanliness, minimize ring-sticking and liner-scuffing, prevent sludge formation and stuck valve lifters, reduce bearing corrosion and engine rusting. The low-ash feature reduces combustion chamber deposits, and the high VI base stocks together with oxidation inhibitors provide protection against extreme operating temperature oil breakdown as well as lacquer and varnish deposits. Anti-wear additives reduce wear, and antifoam inhibitors provide enough protection for use even in transmissions and hydraulic systems.

IDO UNIVERSAL was developed to meet the needs of mixed fleet operators in order to solve the problem of selection and application as well as to reduce inventory. IDO UNIVERSAL exceeds all the automotive gasoline and diesel engine manufacturers’ requirements in the appropriate grades. These oils can be used in all high and medium speed diesel engines in automotive and construction applications and certain diesels in marine service. In appropriate grades, this oil is also suitable for use in transmissions and hydraulic systems. IDO UNIVERSAL 10W and 30 grades have Allison C-4 approval for use in their heavy-duty automatic transmissions.

The 5W40 grade is a synthetic blend that provides extra protection for severe duty and has the added benefit of excellent cold start performance while still providing the same protection at high-temperatures as SAE* 30 and 40 grade oils.
