TRAX was developed for high performance racing and general-purpose air-cooled 2-stroke gasoline engines. This synthetic blend uses metallic detergent and anti-wear additives but has a low ash level so as not to leave deposits that could cause problems at the intake and exhaust ports or with pre-ignition.

TRAX is recommended for both pre-mixing and injection lubrication for all 2-stroke gasoline engines except watercooled outboards, which require totally ashless oil: In those engines, use Irving 2-CYCLE Plus.

TRAX is suitable for chain saws, including professional models, as well as string trimmers, lawnmowers, snowblowers, motorcycles, ATVs and any other air-cooled 2-stroke gasoline engines. It is also suitable for snowmobile 2-stroke engines, whether air- or liquid-cooled, where the manufacturer recommends a low-ash, API TC oil. In particular, it meets the demanding requirements of Bombardier snowmobiles.
