Environmental Policy We take our environmental responsibilities seriously.
COASTAL Blending & Packaging supports programs dedicated to the important issues affecting our business and the communities in which we live and work.
Our plant actively takes part in several recycling and environmental programs including:
• Metal and cardboard recycling
• Solid and liquid waste recycling
• Plastic/metal recycling from juice and soda containers
• The federal government/air emissions NPRI pollution program
• Use of an opacity meter to monitor boiler emissions and reduce air contaminants
• Drum recycling (15% of our drums are made from recycled material)
• Our 20-litre pails are made from 50% recycled material
• Recycled shop rag program
• Continuous re-use of wooden pallets
• Internal recycling and re-molding plastic containers that don’t pass our strict quality control
