COBRA DIESEL PLUS is a low ash multi-grade engine oil specifically formulated with low SAPS (sulphated ash, phosphorous, and sulfur) to meet the stringent requirements of 2007 EPA compliant engines equipped with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) with and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) technology. This multi-purpose crankcase oil not only exceeds API CJ-4 requirements, but is backwards compatible making it ideal for large, small and mixed fleets where multiple service categories may be recommended. Use of a single oil takes the guess work out of application. COBRA DIESEL PLUS is engineered to optimize service drain intervals by using an advanced technology to control soot, oxidation, and wear corrosion that can lead to reduced performance and premature engine failure. As soot contamination increases, so does viscosity. Higher viscosity causes reduced oil flow and increased pressure on the lubrication system so critical engine components optimally protected. Enhanced film strength coats internal components and protects from acid, a side effect of combustion. COBRA DIESEL PLUS meets the requirements for all major diesel engine manufacturers for both on and off-road applications. It’s also suitable for use in older generation engines such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Mack, Volvo, Detroit Diesel, Mercedes-Benz, and International.
